Samson S-Pach Plus

48 channel balanced patchbay 6.3mm TRS

Opened one up to investigate the possibility to solder DB25 cables directly to the back. You be the judge of the build quality of this well reputed patchbay.

Sound sane to me. Not sure where to sorche new jacks though. But maybe it's simply a bad soldering joint with a 2 minutes fix?

I've got one of these with a problem that causes the output channel to cut in/out. Wiggling it toggles the behavior. I'm thinking of buying a spare (I've got 3) to swap out pairs of inputs with issues... then I can repair the pair in question later, and swap in a working set for minimum downtime

Do this sound reasonable? I haven't taken the unit apart, but from your pictures it looks easy enough.
thanks~
